Vicki Gunvalson does not have to face her shocking demotion alone. Gunvalson’s Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Tamra Judge reportedly feels terrible about her reduction in rank and is offering all the support she needs to deal with the drama.

RHOC producers reportedly demoted Gunvalson for the upcoming season and want her to appear as a part-time friend. Sources close to the situation say that Gunvalson has not accepted the offer and is unlikely to agree to a lesser role. The OG of the OC has not confirmed her exit but did recently reveal that negotiations are ongoing.

An inside source told Radar Online that the decision to demote Gunvalson has been years in the making. With Gunvalson’s involvement winding down, her co-stars allegedly hope that she can develop a lasting relationship with her new boyfriend Steven Lodge, with whom she just enjoyed a romantic vacation in the Bahamas.

One of the reasons behind Gunvalson’s demotion is her ongoing feud with Kelly Dodd. Gunvalson escalated the fighting during the Season 13 reunion when she accused Dodd of abusing cocaine. After the reunion, Dodd threatened to quit the show unless Gunvalson was given the boot.

Sources also claim that filming for the new season of RHOC has already begun. Now that Gunvalson is only appearing as a friend, Bravo has reportedly replaced her with Braunwyn Windham-Burke, a mother of seven who is married to the CEO of Channelstars, Sean Burke.
